Bio

Dr. Coronado currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Computer Science, as well as an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the Information Systems program within the department. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Computer Information Systems, a Master of Science in Information Technology, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems and International Business. His academic and research interests encompass strategic IT utilization, the business value of IT, business intelligence, and information management. Furthermore, Dr. Coronado possesses substantial expertise in database design, database integration, database architecture, business analytics, and technology adoption, acquired through his extensive consulting experience.

A staunch proponent of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dr. Coronado actively contributes to numerous initiatives in these areas. He is a Purdue Fort Wayne’s Diversity Council member, the former Chair of the International Education Advisory Faculty Senate Subcommittee, a board member of the Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Advisor of the Hispanos Unidos Student Organization.

Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Dr. Coronado is an avid photographer interested in expanding his knowledge and forming new connections. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, demonstrating native proficiency in each language.
